Do not use this company!
Same experience as the others, Here's the scoop:
- How they totally ignore you
Preferred solution: Hire actual employees
Stole $300 with no services provided
The first time I called her, she spoke to me for about an hour. I had purchased all the services with resume rewrite, reference provider, reference check everything for $300. After giving money, she just disappeared. After daily texting her, she finally sent me her fake company list and asked me to select companies that I liked. I did select quite a few and send her back. Since then, she has done nothing with my resume write/rewrite, providing references or reference check. She always promises to do it but never does anything on time. Jennifer Stole my money. I had already found a job and don't need her services. Ask to refund my money back.
Whitecollar plan :-$195.
reference check:- $55.
and few other services that I don't remember.
One Advice:- STAY AWAY FROM CAREER EXCUSE.
- Stole my money
- Service
Preferred solution: Full refund
Rock solid Job references and excellence customer service.
- Live support and friendly customer service
Is not worth it. They are legit, but they will screw u!
If u have a problem and want to communicate with them, ( I am speaking from my experience) they will not answer email or phone call. Just pretend you are new and want to learn of their service and text message them with a brand new phone number { download side line app to disguise your number}.
They will be nice with and quick with u like I did. Careerexcuse is not the only service. There are others like Paladin deception, fakerefenceshop.
I reccomend to state a company that went out of business and explain they can not reference because of that, after that it will be up to fate. if they like u they will let it pass
Bad service.
Career Excuse Customer Care Review from Dubai, Dubai
I am having the same experience with Career excuse , Jennifer Hatton appeared very proffessioal and her constant follow up including numerous sms assured me they were legit but they only continued upto the day I transferred 360$ after which I have been acknowledged twice then completely ignored
Jennifer reply ignores the fact that if they are really not a scam . They should provide their clients with responses and deliver their services instead of disappearing into thin air.
I am giving it a few more days then will release invoices and correspondences to make sure that I could save some one else from going through the same shameless experience by this company taking advantage of the vulnerable .
Careerexcuse Customer Care Review
I got a job thanks to Career Excuse
I was a stay at home mother for a few years before looking for a job. I looked for a job for almost a year, during this time I had been invited to only 2 interviews.
I registered in Career Excuse a few months ago.
Two weeks after my registration I found the job I wanted.
Thanks to Career Excuse, I passed the background check and very happy from my work. I am working now and not just a stay at home mother with a lot of wasted skills. Thank you career excuse.
Thank you career excuse. Thank you career excuse.
Thank you career excuse. Thank you career excuse.

Response to reviews from CareerExcuse.com Admin
To Anonymous, I do not know who you are but thank you very much. I am very happy we were able to help you land the job you deserved.
To the above review. First, we do not sell lies, we frankly help you cover up your lies , for the main reason to gain employment. I am sure you were probably told that we suggest to use our own companies, and if the company you were trying to use was an actual company, well then... That's a very grey line. Did you check your spam folders? Did you text me? I have many members and we never ignore anyone. I do not know your name nor your situation. I can tell you that I will be happy to provide you the services you are needing at NO COST. We are NOT a scam, and as the below past member stated it is very disheartening to hear people say this. As senior partner of Careerexcuse.com I have spent hours upon hours doing research on what the newest trends are for interviewing , resumes and anything else that will benefit my members and my company. This business would not still be around after 6 + years if all we did was scam people.
Business is business, and no business is perfect especially when it comes to trying to perfect someone else's lie. It is a proven fact that over 78% of people falsify their resume in one way or another. We are only here to help them do it in a way that will not be found out and to help them highlight their skills and abilities.
Almost every member I have worked with has been as honest hard working individual who has been wronged by their past employer or simply been a victim of life's unfair challenges. Without our services there is no way they would have been able to land the job they have now.
Well, I truly am sorry if anyone reading this has had a bad experience with Careerexcuse.com but for every 1 person who has there are hundreds who have had a great experience and led them to the career they deserved.
I will be happy to make right anyone who has had a bad experience to show you we are real, we are NOT scams and our services Do work.
Keep in mind anyone who is looking for information on Careerexcuse.com. Pay attention to where you are looking, for instance, pissed of consumer is going to show you pissed off people. Most of the time, we actually have just as many positive reviews as bad. Also, we have been in business for almost 7 years and how many reviews do we have in that time? Not many. adds up to be less than 5 a year. Take a look at this also, the company that had the most bad reviews a few weeks ago was Pizza Hut! So, if you saw someone post a bad review about pizza hut would you never eat their pizza again?
Consider the source where its coming from. We have been on ABC 20/20 , The Business Insider and more. We ae the real deal and we will help you if you land the job you deserve.
Thank you,
Jennifer Hatton
They took my money and I never heard from them again
On February 7th, I thought the problem had been worked out with Jennifer from Career Excuse, and so I updated the complaint with a positive remark. Well, I was tricked again by this company.
After I posted my original bad review here and contacted PayPal to get a full refund, Jennifer emailed me with such an apologetic message and promising to do better and to fix the problem.
The message sounded so sincere!
I believed her and then closed the dispute with PayPal. Of course, once you close a dispute you can never reopen it to get your money back. Lesson learned.
When Jennifer sends you that apologetic email to try and convince you not to get a refund with PayPal, DO NOT believe it.
So far (and it's over a month later), she has only given me info on one reference. The other two have never been set up as she promised she would do her apologetic email.
So please do not waste your money on this crooked company.
I need to update my review. Jennifer contacted me with a very sincere email apologizing for my troubles. She quickly made everything right.
- How they totally ignore you
- Them stealing my money
- Stole my money
Preferred solution: Full refund
Career Excuse Job Search Review
I have worked with Career Excuse 2 years ego when I've decided to switch my jobs. At the time I was working in a Financial Service Industry for a CEO that was demanding to say the least. Our office atmosphere was hard to bare and the Executive Team were a bunch of snobby, difficult people. I couldn't trust them with a good reference and also didn't want to advise them that I am looking for another job as they would probably replace me in few weeks and send me on the unemployment line, from which point it would be even more difficult to find a good job.
Career Excuse professionals were the only liable answer I could find. They set me up with a company that almost perfectly matched my current employment and skill set. The service itself was not expensive and it allowed me to stay under my current employer's radar. They provided necessary references and recommendation letters when requested and I was able to find a job in another firm, which turned out to be a very good switch for me.
When I received an offer and was going to start in 30 days, I gave my current employer a 2 weeks notice as advised in our company's policy. My employer at the time fired me on the spot. I was able to receive a monthly severance package and weekly unemployment benefits for 4 weeks and enjoyed a month long vacation before returning refreshed and ready to my new posting.
Thank you Career Excuse!!

I am so baffled why you people don't do two things.
1) Dispute the charges for failure to deliver goods or services and get charge reversed.
2) SUE THESE PEOPLE IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT!That will be massive expense for them or you win a judgement that can really become a huge liability and headache for the shamsters!
